Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I bought some $130 sugoi shorts from my LBS and theyre ok but they arent anywhere near as good as the hincapie bibs I got...I'm sticking with bonk for my apparel, especially with their prices.

I've done a 35 a 22 and an 18mi ride in them, they are ridiculously comfortable. They are unreal compared to my other shorts, I ordered the capos 2xu bibs as well, waiting on them to arrive. I know it would be weird to describe the feeling as numb in the nether region...its more like I don't feel anything at all...theres no bunching and very well padded. I'm pretty positive I'll order the red accented ones as well.

Couldn't resist. Cost less than a tank of gas for the minivan.

I put my shiney new winter tires on today! They are noisier and have a bit more drag than my summer tires, but for some reason they feel more agile.

Nope, but I bought the 808's used for really cheap and the Reynolds are what my LBS had on the shelf. The pads work great and are carbon specific anyway.

2012 Trek Ion CX Pro. Picked it up about 3 weeks ago. Have the tester Fizik Arione CX while I wait for my custom ones to come in. Also got:

* Egg Beaters 1
* Bontrager RXL MTB Shoes (these are actually nicer than I figured them to be. took 2 weeks for them to finally break in and feel really good.)
* Serfas TSL-250 Light
* CygoLite Rover II Light

I couldn't pass up the deal through the shop and club. I am broke as all hell now and for the next year
