Clinchers. I just couldn't face the gluing.

Edit, p.s., thanks, you too Biscayne.

A pair of Mavic Pro Road carbon shoes, I think with real imitation leather. My question is, where do they find real imitation cows?

Decided to pick up the expensive but awesome alternative to a floor pump...a N2 Tank. 60fc tank with regulator. Makes inflation fantastic. Too much $$$, but F it.

I think they call it kangaroo leather.

Where did you find it?

Park Tools Multi-tool.

Before that it was a KMC chain and some bullhorn bars.

Conti Gatorskin. Cost? $0.

I first noticed some light dry-rot cracking between the tread and the sidewall on my front tire, so I brought it to the LBS that was about 1/8 mile away from where I was when I noticed it. The mechanic said that looked to be alright, but he then noticed a sidewall bulge about 4" away from the valve. Threads were visibly torn, so that was the end of that tire. I was going to buy a cheap tire to tide me over until I could afford a set of Conti GP4000s's, but the mechanic said he would look in storage for a used tire for me. He found a folding Conti Gatorskin with very little wear on it (MAYBE 200 miles worth) in a 700x23c (what the torn tire was). He said "here you go. It's yours." So I got a nearly new condition Gatorskin for $0. They normally run $60 iirc, so I got a great deal! I'll head back to the shop when I can afford a matching tire to buy one for the rear. I'll probably switch the current one to the rear and put the new one on the front.

I made sure to destroy the old tire before they threw it out, so nobody could reuse it and get injured due to the sidewall damage. I cut the beads in two different places.

FWIW, the tire had about 1300 miles on it and wasn't showing a terrible amount of wear.

I don't believe Michelin makes any tubular tires. At the least, the pro3 is definitely a clincher only.

So there you have it. They are clinchers. :)

just upgraded to Garmin edge 800.
I was having issues with my 500, and customer support said to send it in for replacement. I said great how long will it be? 4-6 weeks....... um, time to upgrade and sell 500 replacement on EBay when it comes in....

lgvincent 07-05-12 10:21 PM

A pair or Mavic Pro Road shoes that sort of match my bike (how does one put photos up? My efforts fall a little short).

Park tool stand. Getting the garage setup for this weekend. And hopefully sort out my clicking crank problem.

I sent them mine a while back. It only took 10 days although I used priority mail or whatever it was. Weighing at 2oz, it only cost $5 or something like that to ship.

therh 07-06-12 09:15 AM

I picked up a brand new pair of Shimano 105 pedals for $55 with tax.
