That raw Caad10 is the first Caad I've wanted more than my Made in the USA Caad9 - well done.

- pair of KMC x10 gold missing links
- Fizik green handlebar tape and Lizard skins green handlebar tape. I have to see which one will closely match the green on the new frameset when it arrives.

- 2012 De Rosa Merak Evolution frameset (matte black/green)

those a-holes never did give me a thank you for letting them make a plaster mold of my upper body. life is good when you're me and have a 27 inch waist and 24 inch biceps.

I strayed from my roadie ways: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...to-build-it-up

A couple of things on topic, here, though.

1. the sugoi arm coolers I posted about last month do work in Kansas humidity, which is generally 15-25% on a hot summer day. I think giantcfr was asking about them and he's in NO which is way more humid, and might impair their usefulness. they work by blocking the sun's intensity and by quickly evaporating sweat. I'm happy with them for $20, plus it's one less place I have to apply sunblock.

2. very happy with my Topeak Mega Red Lites. nice upgrade from some cheapie princeton tec units, but didn't break the bank. they help a lot in pre-dawn twilight.

Ultergra 11-28 cassette to replace my stock 12-30

bike4fun12 07-26-12 01:03 PM

picked up some diadora aerospeed comp shoes and some shimano 105 5700 pedals. yay!

ancker 07-26-12 01:10 PM

Picked up the following for a steal to convert my trainer/roller bike from a triple sora/2300 8-speed to full 105 double 10-speed.
Shimano 5700 front/rear derailleurs/shifters/crankset/BB, tiagra 11-25 cassette, ritchey bars.

This will make swapping the powertap wheel I'm having built between the indoor/outdoor bikes simple.

I see your post. Thanks for the write-up.

Yeah, our humidity is generally above 25% (today it's 70), but I still kinda want to try these things. You're right, for $20, it's worth a try.

I have seen people here wearing sleve-type-things in the heat, so maybe they DO work here. I guess the only way to find out is for me to get some....and then I can grab a pair of those sugoi gloves that I think look so awesome too. :)

Thanks.

ColinL 07-26-12 03:38 PM

oops, had the wrong giant guy. :) glad you saw that post, and yes, I think you should try them!
