I told her I didn't want the red cam and to my luck she hooked me up by taking a black cam off of a gold set they had dismantled. I also got the green swiss stop pads included in the deal.. She even installed them for me because I told her I was concerned about installing them incorrectly (since the have a reputation of being difficult to center) and then be disappointed in their product. She said bring my bike down and she would install. So I did! She was very detailed in installing and adjusting them for me. Got the bike home and took it around the block. They feel just like my algebra brake set. Only my uktegra set weighs in at 323g and these planet x weighed in at 193g! That's a huge weight savings!

They look great with the black cam arms. I went gunmetal because of the red arm. It looks like the cable slipped when testing as the set screw stripped the wire. I had to replace the cable twice on the front brake before I finally get it set strong enough for panic stop without stripping or cutting the cable. I really wish they could re-design that part. Other than that the brakes are great and really light.

Can I ask where you got these? I need some new ones and like the velcro with my fat kankles.

A new spoke and spoke nipple for my wife - she finally broke something on her bike. Aside from that a couple of cold-weather jerseys, some long cycling trousers for her, and a crank puller which it turned out I needn't have bought at all. Oh well...

Is that the 210? I am interested in either the 210 or 410. Really for running because I don't like holding my edge 305 in my hand.

No, it is just an FR70. They are a little over $100 as opposed to the 210, which is $250. I would have liked a 210, but in that case I would just get a 310xt for the same price.

The FR70 has no GPS, but it has all the other capabilities of a Garmin watch if you get the extra sensors. For now, all I want it for is heart rate at the gym. The foot pod and speed/cadence sensors can track distance, you just won't get a map.

I think they were $38, got them in 2 days too. They are great, especially when paired with the wool socks
