Do you have a helmet and computer in mind? Specialized has really nice helmets, I like Giro myself.

Actually my LBS carries both of those, haven't tried anything on yet, but price range wise I'm looking at the S3 and Propero II (Specialized) and the Atmos and Pneumo (Giro). I was really wanting to try some of the Lazer helmets, but there are no local dealers.

any of those will do you fine, none have a real advantage over the other so you will have to try all four on and go with what feels/fits your head best.

I figured that would be the case since they are really close in price. Feel/fit, to hell with that, I'm going with what looks the best. I really hope that the ones with removable visor will work, since I plan on getting a MTB as well, and would really like the helmet to pull double duty.

Posted it before, but just weighed my new saddle vs. the old one.

Specialized Romin Evo Pro = 169g (new saddle)

Progolo Scratch Pro = 283g (old saddle)

Pretty nice to shave just over 1/4lb AND be more comfortable on the bike!

I want to point out that the CAPO bag is a lot bigger than expected! a bargain at $40.00 shipped!!! all those pockets and space

The shoes were like 35 shipped!!! done a couple of rides (commute), pretty neat, wonder how they'll age.

the climajet has done a few rides and has fulfilled its mission, not cheap but reviews rave about durability, hope they're true.

Search and state, i was just drooling all over it! fit is awesome! manufacturing is TOP notch, theres something about that zipper that rocks (flows so smoothly), my first grey jersey.

Specialized arm warmers, you have to get something other than tubes and patches, from the LBS once in a while! ;) they'r very good!! comfy, don't roll down, don't feel restrictive, and breath pretty well

vanilla waffles....YUMMY VANILLA waffles!!!!

OK a couple of minutes ago TIME I-Clic2 Racer pedals! - cause i will donate my cheap exustar to my brother!;)

Walrus 02-09-13 10:10 PM

Just got some kool stop pads.
Good god I didn't realize how worn my old stock shimanos were or just how bad my braking power had gotten.
Certainly worth the $7 a pair. :thumb:

About how many miles did you get on the Shimanos?

Wayyy too many. I've had them about 2 years and probably over 20,000 miles. The fronts were pretty much non existent.

Consider me embarrassed.

If you ever go to Paragon Sports make sure to stop by City Bakery (18th between 6th and 5th) for their delicious hot chocolate...

Just picked up this last week, my first real road bike.

Picked up a new cheap P&S canon camera today. I can't find the battery charger for my olympus and I realized it was more than 5 years old so I figured what the hell. For the 80 bucks it's worth the newness. Plus I haven't taken any pictures of any bike stuff because of the lack of decent camera. This should remedy that.

Charge Juicer frameset. Tange Prestige. Takes mid reach brakes with clearance for 28mm tires and fenders. Gonna be a while before I can afford to build it up. Right now I'm thinking classic bend bars, SKS fenders, fancy brakes, and a utilitarian Sram/Shimano mix.

Nice. The age of disk brakes on road bikes has arrived.

Just ordered two pairs of Voler Estrella Elite FS Pro bib shorts and two Castelli Prologo HD Short Sleeve jerseys. I figured at $31 each, I'd pick up two jerseys to rotate in summer. The bibs were the same idea. I had some credit on a website and got two pairs with my credit. All have shipped, so hopefully I'll have my hands on them next weekend.

Yeeha, the group came in today, hopefully seat post in the next day or so and wheels next week! All that's left will be tires and cages then I can build. I may start the build tomorrow just for fun!
