I love those gloves.

No padding, but they saved my left palm when I slid out in a high speed turn.

I wish I had bibs made out of the leather as those palms. My ass has a major road rash scar still, but my hand is just fine.

Those are nice gloves, if you don't already have these you may want to consider cushioned cork handlebar tape. They do make gel type tape but they don't allow your hands to breath like cork does so I found the gel and other synthetic tape uncomfortable on long hot days, but there are people like them just fine. They also make a gel bar pad which you simply place on the naked bar then wrap the cork tape over it as you wrap, then you get the comfort of gel with the natural wicking of the cork.

I have the same lens in one of my frames an I love wearing it. Very very dark.

Its in my white frame with white socks and logos. Super icy!

I currently have LizardSkins DSP 2.5 tape. I tried Fizik Microtex, but the lack of cushion was painful. My hands only hurt in the beef of my thumb, right where most gloves put gel, so I'm hoping not having gel there will make the pain stop.

It looks nice with those frames. I like that lens(very dark).

Just ordered the Wade long Ti SP spindles, the Speedplay Zero Stainless rebuild kit, and the bearings replacement set for $60, $100, and $30, respectively. We'll see how mine come - thanks for your pointers.

Why did you use Wade long ti spindles instead of Speedplay? was it because Speedplay doesn't offer longer spindles that you wanted?

Yes, I too find that the Glove itself is what is causing the pain. I have lots of different gloves, so I usually try to remember which ones to avoid.

Speedplay only sells Stainless Steel spindles at longer and shorter lengths. I am not aware that the Speedplay Ti spindles are available as shorter or longer lengths. And, the Speedplay Ti pedals have a weight limit of 185 lbs and are 3 mm shorter than standard stainless steel / chromoly spindles.

These longer Wade Ti spindles are Ti, have a weight limit between 200-235 lbs, and are $60. As a disclaimer, these Wade Ti spindles are in no way connected, endorsed, or certified as compatible with Speedplay.

Mark, you have quite the collection of new bikes there. Do you have some pictures or did you post in the Hot or Not thread or What road bike do you have thread? I am sure you have posted that Parlee once or twice, but what about that helix?

Ok now I understand. I'm a bit surprised that Speedplay doesn't offer shorter and longer TI spindles since they make their pedals!

I couldn't find a listing for Speedplay compatible spindles on the Wade sight. Do you know if those spindles you have will work with the Speedplay Frog pedals? If so which spindles did you get from Wade so I can find it on their site?
