I add electrolytes to my water for hot rides and longer rides. Just for replacement. I don't specifically use it to prevent cramps.

Replaced my Ultegra bottom bracket because the previous owner over tightened it. The bike mechanic said the bearing sounded crunchy. It's a Wheels MFG ceramic bottom bracket. Cool thing it's made in the USA.

I've been a thinking of doing this too, sometimes 2 bottles don't quite cover it when I'm doing my climbs in the summer.
I'll take the extra weight to know I can hydrate any day.

Looks good!
My spesh is red!

BTW: How did the century go?

It went well... forgot to put in there the word metric! Big difference. Still, it was an unknown route and had no idea of places to stop get water. All in all I stopped half way since I found a gas station. I am very happy with the ride, seeing a lot of progress. I am a clyde +/- (always balanced on the 200) and I wanted to finish a metric within 4 hours elapsed time. Worked it out! 67.3 miles in 3:57 with one included 7 minute pee and refill break.

Also, very happy with the bottle cages. Only kicked them once when getting off the bike. I could barely feel them and they never fell. Granted it is a $80 dollar accessory that probalby wont see any use again but I think it is worth it just in case I fell like going on some crazy ride.

Sure am! haha No local stores have much in the way of cycling clothing in general let alone winter gear, so I stumbled across this on amazon for quite cheap. I actually returned a long sleeve jersey I was never really fond of back to REI and upgraded to this lot for $20.

Just ordered a bellweather jersey and some arm warmers from Amazon. I did a QuickBooks Online beta test a few months back and they finally gave me my gift card for all my hard efforts. Still have ~$40 on it that I'm saving in case the wife needs any gear for her new bikesdirect bike (mercier elle, nothing fancy she's just starting) which isn't technically one of "my" most recent purchases since she bought it.

I just got a Castelli San Remo speed suit! It's gonna be tight! I hope I can lose weight so I can fit in it soon.
