Yeah, clearly not an English first language company, but that's just the case; phone isn't in there yet as I had to use the phone to take the picture all of that is covered up once the phone is inside.

Bought this 2 weeks ago and have a week on the bike. Love the quality of the Thomson Aluminum stem. I got the 90mm to shorten up the reach.

Just ordered a quadlock case bundle for the bike. hopefully it comes before my day off so I can use it.

2xGP4Ks - my first ones
Ritchey stem bolts - inside the hex has developed some surface rust and looks ugly

Great tires! Mine replacements just came from PBK in two weeks and a day. Was in no hurry but they came out to about 2 for the price of one. I must be doing something right because they went on very easy :)

...not to shill, but biketiresdirect had the best price....

Just picked one up last week, the bundle. Love it, still figuring it all out, but so far I think this is my best bike purchase this summer (other than the new Madone).

I'm not impressed by Thomson stems anymore. I've had 2 of them crack right in front of the steerer tube.

Retul fit

Went for the first long ride (74.4 miles, 17.4 mph, 3200 feet ascent) since last week's Retul fit.

I am definitely drinking this Retul kool-aid, my friends, and may soon say with conviction this is the best $275 I've spent on bike stuff. Faster, easier, more comfortable, lower heart rate, blah blah blah (although eating right, the beautiful weather and the other two guys pulling their fair share may have had something to do with it).

And the Garmin 810 worked flawlessly....

Lmao!!!

@ BoSoxYacht, I can only repeat my earlier comment. We averaged 17.7 the other day and I was pretty satisfied by that. But it was 1/3 of the distance you covered and perhaps 15° F cooler. Much respect, regardless of your avatar.

Got the Retul fit at RacePace in Columbia. He knows what he's doing!

SpeshulEd 09-08-13 08:40 AM

Hmm, they do Retul fits at Bicycle Ranch in Scottsdale, where I got my reynolds wheel fixed. They were really nice in there, perhaps, I should get a real fit rather than watching youtube videos of fits.

I just feel comfy right now...nervous about change.

Hey, it's just money...you can always change things back...all I know is dollar for dollar it appears I've gotten more out of this fir than the Extralite Top Cap and the Mcfk seatpost collar combined...

bianchi10 09-08-13 08:58 AM

gc3, you got an MCFK seatpost?? did I miss the picture?? damn, those things are wicked light!

I didn't "purchase" but since I have gone all rapha, my buddy at my lbs bought these for me

SpeshulEd 09-08-13 01:57 PM

Nice!

Hey all you Rapha kids, how's the fit on their items - tighter than normal, or just normal? Trying to debate if I should go with L or XL.

bianchi10 09-08-13 02:06 PM

I feel that all the regular stuff is fairly consistent with LG UNLESS you get the pro team line, then you must size up with the tops. I'm usually a large in most bibs (XL in castelli) and I was in fact a large in the pro team bib shorts. I usually wear a small/medium in jersey because I like a race tight fit to avoid the "zipple" but needed a large in the jersey. I also bought the pro team jacket and needed a large in that when I am a medium in all other jackets. They classic rapha jersey, I am a medium though.

SpeshulEd 09-08-13 03:06 PM

Excellent, thank you! Think I'll go with large on the classic stuff and see how I do. I was going to grab something off of their website, but have now found a few random jerseys on ebay, so we'll see how I do. People always seem dumb on ebay and overbid on the stuff I want.
