Well to keep this on topic, bought myself a Cat 5 Crit registration fee. My first one :D. Buying a new Dura Ace 10spd chain as soon as my Quarq Riken comes in.

Finally got some lycra cycling shorts. Now I don't look like a total Fred when I'm riding with my group.

Being the top-shelf gear guy that I am :D, I bought a used set of Tektro linear brakes, off ebay, for my 27 year old mountain bike.

How do you like yours? I bought the Park Tool PCS10 from Performance today with 20 percent off. Still debating if I should open the box and start using it or wait for a used one on CL. I am poor!

So far, I like it. That may not tell you much as I only used it for 20 minutes to lube the chain and install a mounting bracket for my frame pump this afternoon. It's lightweight, stable and easy to use, though.

Specialized LuLulemon. The Women's team.

I cannot wait to see an actual picture of the bike. I'd love those colours on my bike.

just got the Quadlock mounting kit last Friday and Im impressed so far. Ive only ridin with it for a 30 mi ride and its everything i was expecting. locking and unlocking is easy, the mount is sturdy and firm. Now i can see my Strava progress without having to pull it out of my jersey pocket everything. It came with Obands and zip ties and after feeling the tension from the obands, i put the zip ties as extra strength. heres some pics of the packaging and the mount.

Please bear with this newbie. What's the difference between 110 and 90? What do those numbers mean?

jsigone 09-22-13 11:46 PM

length in mm

Thanks! So by shortening it to 90 mm, your handlebar gets closer to your hands?

jsigone 09-23-13 12:13 AM

shorter stem has the body more upright, also puts less weight on the hands & shoulders.

Shorter = less reach.
There's different angles/degrees (+/-) that would make your posture more or less upright.

Edit: This post # 1000 for me!

Thanks guys. Is 110 mm the standard length of the stem? I'm asking because the Trek website doesn't tell me the length of my stem, though it does say the rise is 10 degrees. I looked at the stem myself, but the length doesn't seem to be written anywhere, either.

Edit: This post # 1000 for me!
Congrats!

Congrats!

Thanks

The length, & angle is more for fit, & comfort.
You can find this out when you get a bike fit done.
IMO there's no standard size.

Spending remorse is kicking in.

DA 9000 groupo ordered from the LBS on Sat and November Rail 52's were ordered on thursday or friday and shipped immediately. All that is left on my build now is handlebar/stem, saddle and pedals to complete this build... Can't wait for it to be done with.

Congrats!

Treks are fed bikes and only Chris Froome can look at stem.

I got some new bike shorts at Performance Bike, a Travel fluid trainer for the winter and some extra tubes.

PatrickGSR94 09-23-13 09:04 AM

Just saw this in the Hot Deals thread and decided to pick one up, have been looking for a 6 100mm stem to replace my current 17 stem for awhile now.
