The mask comes out when the temps get closer to 0c.

Looking at balaclavas via google tells me that is what I got.

Now Amazon is saying the availability of the chain I ordered through them is 1-2 MONTHS! The other suppliers on Amazon all say 3-4 days.

Why are they helping other suppliers... LOL

Off topic, but Amazon doesn't send me any text for order updates! I registered the correct cellphone number. Waiting anxiously for the mini pump...

[ADD] BTW the above was your 3,000th post!

lol oh snap :P

Well there are lots of companies that sell through Amazon. If you look at items it will say "shipped and sold by" Amazon LLC or maybe another company. Through Amazon it says 1-2 months. Through Green Mountain Outfitters or Niagara Cycles it says 2-4 days.

I try to buy most stuff through Amazon direct so that it will all come at the same time and I can usually get free shipping. But sometimes certain items are only available as shipped through another supplier and so it comes as a separate shipment.

I ordered this stuff last Monday, and the crank arm removal tool came from Niagara and got to me in 2 days. The rest of the stuff just got to me today.

Yes, the one I purchased was similar, only I bought it at Walmart so it cost 79% less.

That is the smart way to go about it. BUT I overpaid and got a cycling specific one and I actually REALLY like it. Got some Pearl Izumi Merino Wool socks for a fortune by sock standards. But got a "good" deal on other stuff like stylish lobster gloves and the Barrier Balaclava. Have not used the lobster gloves but the Balaclava is highly recommended. It is super versatile. I used it to cover everything when going downhills, I can cover mouth without nose. Mouth and nose without head. Head and neck without mouth and nose. Etc. you know all the combinations. I'd give it an A.

Those 2 items also serve as as my Halloween costume, along with my Castelli tights, & long sleeve jersey . ;)

It's one of those items that I'm not sure will get a lot of use. I will have to see how much I like it. I'll likely purchase a more expensive one if I find it to be something I get a lot of use out of.

It not always about what you spend on your gear.
If its functional, then its worth it.
I'm guilty of over spending on anything cycling, its something I love. If it makes me more comfortable while riding, I'll dish out the dough for it. ;)

I still want to get one of these merino wool Buff contraptions. They look super-versatile for head/face protection.

That's pretty much how I use my Sugoi balaclava.

I have 2 BRD players in my theater room, because they have different connections and different features. Sony one has internet stuff, but will only connect to my projector. I have a small TV in there also so my kid can watch stuff without burning up the projector lamp hours, but I have to connect the Panasonic BRD to that because the Sony BRD won't connect to both.

Contacted Amazon and they said the X10L chain was in stock when I ordered it, but then out of stock shortly thereafter. It almost seems like someone threw the X10.93 chain in the box in hopes that I wouldn't notice or something. So today I had to re-order the item from Niagara Cycle Works, through Amazon, for $5 additional for 3-5 day shipping (their only option). Estimated delivery is Tuesday thru Friday of NEXT week.

What a pain. Amazon issued a $10 credit to my account for the next time I buy something sold/shipped by Amazon.

I used it for the first time this evening. The "SteadyPulse" mode worked great. I have a question, though. The Cygolite website says the Expiion 700 has 8 lighting modes.

http://www.cygolite.com/products/expilion700.html

However, mine only has 5 - without Day Flash, Walk or SOS.

What's yours like? I don't mind not having those three modes. I was mainly interested in the brightness of the light. I wonder if it's just incorrect information on the Website or if I bought an old version.

[EDIT] Nevermind... looks like those 3 modes are "special modes," which you can invoke by holding down the button when it's off mode and then releasing the button. Works on mine too. Yay!

Okay, I bought a pair of the tights (in small). They are super comfy! Fit me very well, too. Thanks again for the suggestions.

sorry.. just saw your edit! when I put mine on steady pulse, I feel like the cars ahead of me are parting like the red sea!

Amazon uses a huge variety of suppliers, and if you go for the cheapest cost of the item your looking for most of the time you'll get in 7 days or less, but if due to the price there was big run on an item you may have to wait 1 to 2 months but you have the option to cancel the order and your card is not billed until it's ships. I've ordered a lot of stuff on Amazon over the years and only had to wait 1 1/2 months once, but I didn't care because it was a speciality item; the second longest time I've ever waited was 8 days and I only do the free or cheapest shipping.
