They're good, I like the compression and they're comfortable, though I have only worn them twice (125mi and 156mi rides) in the week I've had them in not so ideal situations. Perhaps I'll be able to form a better opinion after I do a normal 2-3 hour day in them.

Just ordered a pair of GP4000s' from PBK, ended up being $32.50 CDN each shipped. I missed their 10% for 2 tires sale, but found a 15% off coupon to go with the already on sale tires. Works out well as the stores here sell them for $69 per tire.

Next on the list is the race licence, once the OCA decides to add the 2014 forms/info to their site.

Just bought a Ritchey Logic II handlebar, on clearance for about 65% off retail from Performance Bike (store, not online). Thought what the hell...

A thumbs-up vote here for BDop Cycling on their Offset Brake Pad Holders. A bit expensive according to my budget, but it was worth it.http://s20.postimg.org/b5pg7zv19/Offset_Brakes.jpg

Wilko Pressure Sprayer 8L so I can wash my bike at home as I dont have a hosepipe connection and I dont want to leave it outside unattended while I have to go inside to change water etc.

They don't have microfiber towels and spray polish where you live?

LOL! Actually car wash and wax is better and way less expensive than bike boutique polishes and washes if you really want to go cheap...and better actually! I just wash my bikes with a car wash concentrate and a microfiber towel, rinse with a garden hose on the soft setting (too much pressure could flush dirt and water past seals), wax the bike with a non abrasive high quality wax like Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax liquid (paste takes too long to apply and spray on is watered down) and another microfiber towel to polish. With my titanium bike I do if completely different, the wash is the same but, according to Adrenalin Bikes and Lynskey, I wipe down the bike with a rag dampened with WD40 which removes the splotches that nude ti is known for, then let it dry for a few hours, then apply Pledge...not sure why Pledge vs automotive wax was recommended, I just do what they recommended.

Sure but I still need to get the mud and dirt off first as I ride off road lol :)

Not really into the polishes and waxes tho I should probably start doing that :)

Is that the Performance tape? Or single color Dual?

jsigone 01-07-14 01:18 PM

just their performance tape, first time using the stuff. Will run it gloveless on my lunch ride today. See how long it can stay white w/o any mechanicals

am I the only weirdo that saves the boxes of groupsets?

I always think I can use it for something cool but it just piles up. Maybe it's time to let go :(

PatrickGSR94 01-08-14 08:25 AM

I save boxes from all kinds of junk, mostly electronics and such. Still have the boxes our iPhone 3GS phones came in lol.

So I was going to wait for another Nashbar 20% off single item promotion, but yesterday I just decided to go ahead and get a Topeak frame pump. Then today they do a 12-hour 25% off promotion. That's twice in a row now I've ordered something from them and then they start a promotion the very next day. DANG IT!!

I ordered this one because it's black, but odd that I don't see it on Topeak's website. What's up with that?

The only thing I can think of about that black pump is that it may have been offered to other countries and not for the USA market...OR, it was specially made for sale through only Nashbar. Question marks on both thoughts.

I too keep my old electronic boxes, but not the small phone or other small electronic stuff. I've moved enough times to know to keep those boxes for moving protection.

PatrickGSR94 01-08-14 09:07 AM

Oh well, I hope I actually get the black on and not the silver one since my bike is mostly matte black.

Finally got around to replacing my non working Edge 305 with a new 510.
