Charge Scoop. After my no-name saddle died and I couldn't find the same one I tried several saddles. With 50 miles on it, this one is promising.

yeah I just could not bring myself to get the specialized version.(which is way less $$) .. I have nothing specialized on my bike.. and already have enve wheels.
The downside is I'm now 74 grams over 14.99 lbs :( |

So how much does it weigh? The specialized version looks sexy as can be, but I have a specialized bike. I didn't want the giant white Zipp logos on my bars, so I was left to choose between Enve and S-Works. At half the price, for me there was only one choice.

Although "totally unnecessary" (I blame the polar vortex), I upgraded the DT Swiss Axis 3.0 / All Condition Armadillo, 25mm, OE wheel set / tires on my Roubaix Comp.
In two seasons I've put 10K km on these wheels and they've been great. Still true and roll well ... anyway ... After looking at several different models and brands, this winter, I ended up getting a set of Zipp 30's. These will wear GP4000's, 25mm, tires. Apparently, between tire and wheel upgrade, I have (claimed specs) reduced the wheel set weight by approximately 565g. The Zipps are really well made / finished. The Sapim CX-Ray spokes are very cool. 18F, 20R spoke count vs. the Axis 3.0's 24F, 30R. I'm obviously looking forward to the weight reduction, but I'm really looking forward to the reported "ride quality" of the GP4000's. The Armadillo's are reportedly known to have a "wooden" feeling and to have a slightly greater rolling resistance than other tires - although I wouldn't know as I have nothing else to compare them to. I could see this, as their puncture protection makes them heavy, but it has worked very well for me. Zero flats over two sets. I could ride, over glass, "all day long" on these tires and they wouldn't be bothered. I kid. (Slightly!) I know that I won't be able to this with the Continentals. These are the first set of folding tires that I have ever installed and they are so much lighter / thinner than the wire beaded Armadillo's. I'm trying not to put them on the bike until May, 01, as I want the initial ride impression to be experienced "on the road", not the "hamster wheel." LOL! Come on Spring! http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=367209 http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=367210 |

enve website says 250g.. I agree the spesch version is sexy as hell too and about the same weight 260g I heard... I don't blame you for choosing sworks bars one bit. I just have OCD.

I hear ya about Specialized, and my Enve wheels just rolled in yesterday (part of the reason why no $ right now!). I also like the new 3T aeronova. I use ergonovas on my bikes now, and like the shape. The other thing, is that I was concerned that my k-edge garmin mount wouldn't fit on the Enves, because it doesn't look like there's enough room between the stem and the area before the bar starts to flatten. This area looks wider on the aeronova. So, I was thinking I'd have to mismatch and go 3T Integra LTD stem with Enve aero road bar, or Enve carbon stem with 3T aeronova bar and k-edge mount. Decisions, decisions. Does a K-edge or similar bar clamp garmin mount fit on the Enve bar with stem installed?

In a world full of goofy looking helmets, that's gotta be top three all time, excluding the aero/TT stuff. Hope it's comfy and you enjoy it though :thumb:
