Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

Swapping a too-short Nitto Technomic stem for a longer Nitto Dirtdrop left me without a place to mount my wireless CatEye "Strada" computer in the proper orientation. This handlebar mount does the job.

Update: Arrived in the morning mail, installed in minutes (after I found some spare rubber shim material). Verdict: Perfect! It's sturdy, easily adjustable, and vibration-free. Now I can quickly shift my glance to the monitor, without having to move my head and lose focus on the road ahead. The new position is even better than with the original mount, on the stem.

Should amateur cyclists ever wear a replica champion's jersey? | Trevor Ward | Environment | theguardian.com

it's a contentious subject I'll leave it at that, get the yellow jersey next

do they offer a men's small size? I'd overpay for that jersey if it went to research.

Use this with my Cateye Stealth - I agree much easier (and safer) to read than with the included stem mount.

Here is a pic of me on the last crit I did. I guess you can probably guess who am I. To be honest I like the KOM thing but I did it mostly because of an italian cartoon that my fiancee taught me about named Pimpa. She is Italian and grew up with that when she was little. Now she calls me Pimpo.

Wearing that jersey on a solo or group ride is one thing. To wear it in actual race seems almost disrespectful

To be honest i wasnt too comfortable doing it either but i was visiting my father in Houston where he was getting cancer treatment, i found out about the race with 18 hours of anticipation and this was the only clean jersey i had. I could have gone shirtless or smelly. I think it was better to be clean and unexposed. I did find out that nobody cared 2 poops and that i suck with or without jersey.

It's laughable how anybody could think of themselves being cool or ethical by wearing a certain type of lycra and racing certain type of carbon fibre. I am cycling's biggest fanatic but sober enough to know that 99.9% of the time it is a poser's sport. I pose as the best, you pose as youself!
