those Exposure lights are bad ass. My riding buddy has a couple of them. The 3up, 4up and solo for the helmet. Very nice n slick units, no cords no fuss

Stopped by the local LBS after work and picked up some new bar tape. I think I did okay for first time wrapping.

Why is that so crazy? Thats not American Culture, its getting the best one can afford or better yet, is willing to shell out. It might be the best looking or quality item available, but that doesn't mean it is the only thing someone should consider. Even if someone can afford to spend that much, doesn't mean it would interest them to pay that much for a light. Obviously, the light is the subject we are currently talking about, but that can be swapped out for anything such as a vehicle, bike, house, etc.....Its not ALL about price, but it is always going to be something to think about. Not everyone is ****** enough to buy whatever they want just because it is "the best". Wish I had an Evo Black inc because it is nothing short of an amazing machine, but that comes with a price. A price that I cant afford. Just saying, it isn't ALL about cost, but for people who don't have an abundance of cash flow, it will always be a consideration, especially when you can get by on something that is half the price, even if it isn't AS good, but will get the job done. |
This thread, as well as hot r' not, is the essence of why roadies are considered complete snobs and elitists. 50% looking the part, 40% looking like you can afford it, 10% riding...
Same probably goes for Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche owners etc... not sure why I even bother. I guess it's because roadies actually feel superior and act condescendingly all the time. |
Did you buy it at Competitive Cyclist or Evans Cycles were the photo is from its about a $164 price difference between the places. If you bought that at Competitive Cyclist you may want to get a price match or return it and get it from Evans Cycles. |
Picked up my new Cannondale Supersix EVO carbon a few weeks ago. Love it. :thumb:
Yesterday I bought a pair of Endura FS260 Pro bibs. This is my first pair of Endura bibs. I'll take them out for their first ride tomorrow. |
Picked up a heavier duty rear wheel as I kept knocking the 28 spoke wheel that came on the Raleigh Revenio 2.0 out of true. The new wheel is a 32 spoke that took the 9 speed cassette that came on the bike.

Screw off. I spend 10k miles a year on the bike, have consistently good racing seasons, and happen to like nice things. If you want to be judgmental and assume that everyone who likes nice things is just some fred trying to impress people, then that's your MO and I can't change it, but for the love of God, get off your high horse trying to think you are better because you don't buy nice things.

Set of Shimano 540 SPD-SL pedals, and a Selle Italia X2 Wilier saddle - both in white. Trying to finish off my mini-rehab on an older Allez I found on craigslist. N+1.

Dropped some coin on a set of tubeless wheels, Conti tubular tires, SRAM rival shifters, Force 10sp cassette, Rival short cage rear derailleur, and other various bits to upgrade my Raleigh rx 1.0 a bit. Cannot wait to fix it up!

Local shop had a 2013 SuperSix 3 Ultegra that was in parts (but new). I picked up the frame/forks, seat post, crank and had my 105 and remaining parts swapped from my CAAD 8. First N+1 and first carbon bike. Looking forward to building up this frame.
