Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pair of Giro Republic's in white (on sale for $60!). They are a half-size too big but they didn't have my size and the deal was too good to pass up.

Pictures: Giro Republic - Album on Imgur

but of course I already ripped part of the leather when I crashed on my 4th ride with them . My front tire flatted while descending and I was coming up to a corner. Luckily I slowed down enough so I didn't do that much damage, but my front wheel just slid out from under me when I tired to take the turn. Ending up falling on my side/back into some mulch, scraping up my arm and ripping my shoes of course.

You'll be excited when you see how well it cleans your chain without having to take it off the bike. I love mine!

The Flash Flag - Flashback.ca - Cycling Accessories Retroreflective Safety Products, Reflective decals, stickers for bicycles, traffic control and personal safety - to keep cars away from me when they pass. Installing in a bit difficult, but it'll be worth it, I think.

Got some new Specialized Turbo Cotton open tubulars. Guys at the shop seem to like me so got them at a pretty good price

The jersey was a gift from a good friend from Netherlands. It's an actual jersey from Bauke Mollema signed by him from when he was in Rabobank!

Shimano PRO bar tape in black/crabon texture.

seriously impressed with this tape. tried to take extra care to wrap it properly/neatly as i could.

comfy, sticky/tacky, and stays that way when wet (apparently). easy to wrap to boot.

beats the tar out of deda stuff. If you you're in the market for new tape, definitely check this stuff out.

They are amazing. You will never ever get a chain as clean by just a rag and hand, it matter how many types of cleaners you use.

Got these photochromic glasses from Nashbar. I have a pair of regular sunglasses and a pair with non-tinted lenses but I got tired of having to pick which ones to wear and then hoping that the weather wouldn't change. So far, I like these new ones.

I'd like to think I got a good deal. Can't find any serial number or anything for ID on the frame though.
