I got allot of my recent purchases together for a group photo. Rode it Sunday for the first time, it was as good as I had remembered two years ago when I rode one. Now I need to HTFU so I can make better use of such a great fast bike! |

Sadly I manage a car audio shop, and I'll be working 7 days a week until Christmas. Today will be my last good long ride for awhile. Thanks for the compliment. The bar drop is actually less than my Trek was. The BB on this bike is 120mm lower, thus lowering the saddle height a bit. I just got the Toupe yesterday, I am hoping it is as comfortable as it seemed on the trainer last night.
|
that is a lot lower.
|
lol i fail. I meant 12mm lower, but still....

Put down a payment on a Trek District for my fiancee with my first half-paycheck at the new job. I'm eyeing the 4.5 Madone for myself a little later on . . . I'd like an upgrade for Levi's Gran Fondo next fall. :D
|
I just got a Cutter Merino Wool LS Jersey. I'm about to drop 200 on my first team kit for next year. And hopefully within a month I will have a nice new sexy Trek 2.3 to post, but I won't get ahead of myself. It might not work out...
|
I just put a down payment of 50% on a new frame - from a builder in Colorado
He'll teach me (and two others) how to build my first bike over the course of two weeks http://www.yamaguchibike.com/content/School |
i bought a blackburn air tower 2, and a display stand today. The blackburn's pretty awesome!
|
I bought some tights. And a hat. Oh and brake levers, bar tape, and tires. And got a free saddle.

It's here, it's here!!!! My Synapse 5 arrived yesterday afternoon and I picked it up from the LBS last night. Indigo blue with white trim, silver handlebar tape, Nashbar SPD pedals, and a royalgel saddle. It's sweet... and fast. On a test ride at the bike shop, I returned to the parking lot and saw myself just leaving on the other side. ;-) I was hoping to head out on a decent shakedown ride but heavy rains are heading this way and are forecasted to last through Saturday. Better photos to come but here's a shot of it sitting in the garage:
(Might be able to take some better photos this weekend) http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=127290 |

sram force shifters, RD, FD, $395....brand new

They were two in number, and complimentary in nature:
1) a quick-release skewer to replace the rusted-together skewer on my roof rack, so that I could have someplace to mount and bring home 2) a Giant Avail 3 for my 13yo. :) |
Shimano R540 Road Pedals to replace my spd's.
http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/u...073_321Lrg.jpg Bought for $20 at REI's used gear sale. They were a return and are BRAND NEW with packaging, cleats & hardware. The return reason: The "left pedal has faulty threads"! Ha! Left pedal=reverse threaded not faulty! |
