Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Got my new wheels, a dura ace 11-23 cassette, new tires, and tubes. I am thinking about changing my saddle to black and then changing bar tape to black as well, think it would look good ? Here is the only picture I have thus far:

White? I have a buddy that has two Prologo Scratch Pro, Carbon railed saddles. One is white and the other in Black so I was deciding on which one I would like. Also thank you very much its been a fun couple of months getting it to where it is with the new group set, then the custom paint, and then wheels. now just have to finish up with a new saddle and it needs new tape.

Nah, you're just being helpful. Seeing what you buy makes me feel like I have at least a little bit of restraint!

Lol glad I could be of help! It helps that their prices are very reasonable and after I sold all my Rapha, I was able to invest all that into my MAAP collection. So its not like all my kits were out of pocket. They were replacing. my last 3 kits were either Christmas gifts or from Christmas money. I have 1 more jersey and vest on the way right now and that will be the last of it for a while since I will have all the kits that I want from MAAP.

These:

They work, ohhhhhh, do they work. Rode 63+ miles today w/ temps never getting above 28 degrees. Rode w/ them on the medium setting and they lasted over 4 hrs (ride time was under 4 hrs, but I stopped a couple of times. I purchased from LL Bean. Cost me a bit more than some other places, but this way, if anything ever goes wrong with them, LL Bean has my back!

I'm at a point where I'm considering some kind of externally heated gloves. I've tried about 6 different styles of winter cycling gloves without finding ones that actually work when the temps get into the mid-20's or below.

I see these on the L.L. Bean site for $200. You say you could have gotten them cheaper somewhere else? I'd be interested in a lower-priced alternative.

They look pretty bulky also, so how do you find them as far a bar grip and brifter manipulation goes?

Thanks for posting. Give me some hope.
