Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

Just bought a new bike today from my dealer, went in intent to buy a 2016 Specialized Diverge Elite DSW and instead found out that I could get the 2017 model instead so I jumped on of course.

A couple pairs of dhb bib shorts.

dhb block shorts that match my main jersey perfectly and have the same pad as my other dhb bike cothing, and dhb ASV Race bib shorts, which have a thicker padding I'm not used to.

None of the below pictures are mine, but posts in this thread are useless without pics.

1993 Bianchi Project 5 - mine is a dark blue. Pretty cool, Tange double butted throughout, lugged frame, a 29'er before those were a thing. I've got 42mm Hutchison Globetrotters on it and am thinking about using it as my main commuter.

2008 Giant FCR - to use as kid hauler, around the neighborhood bike. Gets all the associated trailer/ride-along mounts and brackets off my other bikes and all in one place. Has a sweet dent in the headtube.

Park PCS-1

Clement X-Plor USH (the 60 TPI ones) to go on my CX bike after I stole the hutchison globetrotters for the Bianchi.

I've been buying parts since February for the new frame. Everything but derailleurs, shifters, and cranks will be new.

My builder finally gave a due date of 6/29, and I'm off work 6/30 & 7/1. Hopefully I'll have a bike to build on Thursday.

The amount of money he has invested in the R&D is staggering.

No idea why I even splurged when my fitness this year is D- compared to my B+ last year. Maybe it's my way of spicing things up to get my mojo back.

The destruction of this ride,

Resulted in this ride, Infinitio CV with Chorus and Mavic Kysirium Pro SL.

DSCF0005 (2).jpgDSCF0006 (1).jpgDSCF0007 (1).jpg

Also purchased, replaced my old computer with Garmin 510 and a new for me Sony Action Camera for those less than considerate drivers coming up from behind!

Although the Look does not appear that rough, my LBS and Attorney said to write the whole thing off. There are cracks in the paint on the frame, components with road rash etc.

As for the driver who struck me, his insurance company did pay off on the full replacement value my LBS wrote.

I also had injuries, but I will not go into detail about what took place as there is further legal action taking place. I will say the driver that struck me was cited for Assured Clear Distance Ahead.

It is a nice looking Bianchi you got for a replacement bike, sorry about your injuries though, I hope you are recovering well and fast.
