The industry could use more like him, rather than buying cars and boats - or planes.
Still, I think there is a bunch of variety missing. Most art collectors I know (not many, but a few) select from different artists. I like to try as much variety as I can. When I rode your kinda miles, I could not really afford it.
Now I can, I have a kid to spend it on. I really spend it on me, he just rides.

We always fed his addiction, and appreciated the business, but never really respected the person.
You never disrespect the guy, but you can't buy respect.

Picked up some white REI/Co-Op sun sleeves - haven't had worn them on a ride yet, but they actually do feel nice and cool. No grippers or anything, though, so I hope they stay in place well enough. It'll be nice not to slather/spray on sun screen.

Also picked up a KEG tool storage caddy thing - closeout for less than 5 bucks.

A bunch of spring/fall wear from Ribble's house brand... leg warmers, bib tights (x2), and some gloves... Including shipping came to <$100 CDN, hell of a deal. I managed to snag some bib shorts in the spring and the pad is surprisingly decent... almost Castelli quality support and if it last a full season nails the overall on price/value...

A Soma Hwy One compact road bar. I needed to get the reach down and they worked perfectly, I didn't want a shorter stem.

Lezyne Super GPS with the speed, cadence, and heart rate monitor. Should get it soon, and then I can very myself to sleep when I find out how relatively slow I am on Strava.

The pad is somewhat similar to Castelli KISS; decently thin, decently dense (probably not as dense as a KISS..). Holds up pretty well on a 60-70km ride; I'll likely stick with the Castelli gear for longer rides, but for training/casual rides, it is better than any generic stuff I've tried.

I got a Timbuk2 Especial Raider Cycling Pack (backpack) from REI on sale. This is so I can ride my racing bike to work and back without adding anything to the bike. I rode with it for the first time today, and it felt good.

Finally took the plunge and got a pair of road shoes and clipless pedals. I have no idea what I was afraid of for the past few years.
Riding is my addiction
1. Last week @ Stage 2 Amgen TOC finish on Metcalf Rd in San Jose I picked up a United Health Care Team jersey for $20 and a pair of free socks. Very good light weight summer jersey.
2. Bought a new Fizik Airone saddle to replace the Prologo that came with my new 2017 Orca M20Team bike.
