Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Zipp CX bar tape. This stuff is great, way better than Lizard Skin at a fraction of the price.

Was looking for some extra storage and convenience on 300k+ brevets, and found this Ortlieb bag. Waterproof and a clear window for that brevet card + directions. Plenty of room for sandwiches! Picked it up at REI for 25% off!

Giant seat bag

Just bought a new saddle bag. The Shadow DX large. I love it. It took about 5 weeks to get it though. Bummer.

Been out on a few rides lately where it got below freezing. Nice warm jacket on the way. Like the black reflective patches too.

@znomit, I've had a Castelli jacket like that for a few months. I didn't like the price, but I sure do like the jacket, and now I have no regrets about buying it. It gives a lot of warmth and comfort for the small amount of fabric.

Tubeless tires

I bought a couple of Schwalbe Almotion 700/38 tires and mounted them tubeless on my Dyad rims using two layers of tape and Joe's sealant. Nice rolling tires and the lower pressures this setup permits makes for a smooth ride. I'm optimistic about the promise of no more flats but we'll see.
