Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looks like the dark gray comes with that one, as it did with mine (I got a red one). I purchased the clear visor separately for night rides.

Any idea how that light compares with the Cygolite 150?

Yeah. It's about $60 more.

I've never used either, so your guess is as good as mine. The L&M looks really good, though. The one I'm using for all my night rides right now is a $15 cheapo. It's worked so far, but I don't like it. I'm still alive, though, so there's that.

Power meter pedal. I bought single side, maybe I'll upgrade to duos later. These things are expensive.

Ordered a few sets of Horst spikes for my GF and I. Pretty cool that the best toe spikes in CX are made a few miles from us. only went for the stainless ones. Ti is blingy but not necessary for us.

Bought a pair of Panaracer Race A Evo3 tires (700x25). Not really meant to replace my current Panaracer GravelKings, but just as something that I wanted to try on my training rides that go through not-so-terrible roads.

I have these and love them. But if these are your first pair, be warned that the cleat mount is quite a bit further forward than many other brands. I found I had to slide the cleat as far back as it would go to get it into the proper position. At least for the Shimano SDP SL cleat.

New Di2 upgrade kit. Tried the 6850 on a bike at the LBS, was like, Oh, I like this ! Bit the bullet for the 8050 group.

Edit: Well belay that idea, wife calls this morning, her job is discontinued 2/28. Order cancelled, time to put money away.

Nice. I have a couple of pairs of the R3. They have a high arch which kind of bothers me. Do these also have a high arch?

10% off on components and groupsets at Merlin. Just picked up a complete Dura Ace 9150 DI2 kit with 11-30 cassette for $2139 delivered. Haven't seen it at that price point. I'll be selling the battery (new frame will have one already), and the cassette (also have already) so that will bring the price point down a bit more!

Time to get even lower in 2018, going from a 110MM -10 slammed to a 110MM -17 slammed set up. Now just have to work on my headset cap as its a little higher for my liking.

Man, very sorry to hear that. Glad you have your priorities straight. The 8050 can wait; they'll make more.
