Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Picked up a pair of black Specialized Audax Wide shoes in preparation for a 300k ride next weekend.

I originally wanted to get a pair of Torch 2.0 Wide shoes but the authorized Specialized dealer that I visited did not have the wide version in stock, but I noticed the Audax shoes on the shelf and gave them a try. They were more expensive than the Torch 2.0 but felt like a good fit, giving my toes plenty of room for comfort while still feeling secure around the ankles.

Wondering how you like this saddle (and what you were using before)?
I've seen a few reviews on them, but very few real world reviews.. so curious if it lives up to the hype. You should post a review for all of us lol

2 gallon garden sprayer from Home Depot to hose off the bike -

And an inexpensive, but supposedly individually ISO-tested (they include a certificate with test results), torque wrench from Amazon -

I purchased 21mm pedal extenders for my road bike. I normally wear regular shoes with half clips while riding, but I've had problems with my heel rubbing the chainstay. So far I'm not sure if it's helping or hurting more, I think I'm still having knee tracking and pain issues but atleast my heel isn't rubbing anymore.

This wasn't a purchase, it was a trade. I had a frameset, same brand, different year, both titanium frame. I got one in my size and traded away one too small for me.

Nice score. I had too many family things scheduled and couldn't make the Garage Sale.

Yep.. 2 of them now for less than full price of a non shield one. I only use the shield for Tri's but it is a nice option
