Had to get the OBW-3 with the 14mm flat wrench. These vintage 105 brakes are the worst

I got a Giro merino wool cap on @TimothyH's recommendation. It arrived yesterday. It's very comfy, though it's a bit big. Maybe it will shrink. I normally wear an XL hat, and this is big?

If you got it from Backcountry then you can give them a call or open an online chat with one of the "Gearheads" and they will email you a free USP return shipping label.

@TimothyH, that sounds good, but I don't like to return stuff even when I should. I can probably get this thing to shrink a bit. Thanks!

Noglider - Have you pulled out your Arcteryx jacket yet? We have had a few cool days and I have already worn mine a few days, but the heat wave is hitting us here now.

No, it hasn't been cold here yet, and I'm more tolerant of cold temperatures than most people. I should get it cleaned soon, though, as I didn't after the winter.

I decided my current "project bike" is actually a keeper. So I gathered spare parts (which included a spare saddle bag) and bought a new Genuine Innovations CO2 Air Chuck Inflator. All my bikes [now] have their own fully stocked saddle bag.

Please let us know how it works out. After taking almost two decades off, I'm having some numbness issues with the San Marco Rolls. Not sure if I need a different saddle, just need to work on my core muscles, or if it's these ridiculously thick chamois that are in all the shorts now. Depressing

Getting dark around here - so got a cheap good review head/tail light set from Amazon - just got today.
Also got a super orange windproof jacket - a tiny bit big. It is very (too) warn that I need to open zipper on mid 40 with only a T shirt under. Somehow I like to have it on evening commute at mid 50 or close to 60 when temps start to go down.

I recently got a Selle Italia SLR Superflow Saddle, with a very large cutout, from Chain Reaction Cycles, for $115 (sale price was $135, and $20 off for first purchase from CRC). It has a lot of very positive reviews, and my experience matches the reviews - no numbness, and very comfortable on my 55 mile weekly ride.

Castelli Gabba 3 in 2XL even though I am a solid medium in US sizing...I act as translator at a local shop and my American friends let me keep their points. This jersey was priced at 169.00 and I only paid 60.00 after the points...

@yarbrough462, that's a great deal for a Gabba. You are going to love it when it starts to drizzle and gets cold. Everyone else will be complaining and suffering and you will just smile...

------

I'm trying a merino "Midlayer" by Ashmei. This is my first Ashmei garment and I'm really exited to try it.

https://ashmei.com/

I like how Ashmei produces videos showing the garment being put on, zipped up, used on a trainer, etc. It gives a feel for the stretch and feel of the fabric and overall fit. I've sized down because I want a race fit.

glad you like it! I tried something from ARSUXEO last year, but the fit was funky so I donated it to goodwill. maybe the problem was that my body is funky & need something less form fitting (even tho I bought size 3XL)
