Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New lady-bibs (Endura brand). I really can't go back to shorts, and this design might do the trick for quick pit stops.

I am very excited for tomorrow. The powder coating on the '91 Ochsner I am restoring is finished. I pick it up tomorrow. This is the first bike I have torn down to just the frame/fork, and then stripped the paint off to bare metal. I hope to get started rebuilding tomorrow afternoon. It feels like new bike day!

Is this a cold weather jacket? Rain jacket? Other? Either way, looks like a nice jacket.

For cool weather and is water resistant but not waterproof (I have another, heavier jacket for that). From its web site description: Simple to convert mid-ride with its zip-off sleeves, the vest delivers core body warmth on cool days. For more protection in the wet or wind, just reattach the sleeves and go.

I'm returning mine. I'm 30" waist and the zipper is stretched at the waist with a Small (29"-31") size to the point that it's uncomfortable. Medium is $10 more so not buying it. I bought a Baleaf Men's Cycling Running Jacket Convertible instead. Looks very similar. Dimension are similar. Hopefully it will fit better. Thank god for free Amazon returns.

This saddle looks good/comfortable. Hope it rides the same (as I'm in the market for a new saddle I think...)

I'm a cap guy too. I wear one on every ride. I like the look of those caps but the brim looks a bit too big, at least for riding in the drops which I like to do a lot.
Lately I've ordered the smaller brim caps from Walz Caps, which gives you a nice 1 3\4 vs 2 1\4 brim size option on many of their caps.

The Romin Evo is very good. I have the boring black one on my Focus.

Just did a google search of that saddle. It looks very much like my current Specialized saddle, albeit with more padding. I might have to give that saddle a closer look in the next few weeks.
