Ordered a few of tires to (hopefully) last me through the year. I'm gradually working my way through some of the better tubeless road tires out there, and this year it'll be Michelin Power Road TLRs in 28mm -

I have some Michelin Power Road 28's tubeless and they were the easiest tubeless tires to mount I've ever tried.

Good to hear - how are you liking them on the road? Any idea of what to expect in terms of wear, yet?

I haven't had too much of a struggle mounting tires in years, but I'm actually hoping that these hold on more tightly than my Pro One Addix - they'll unseat from my wheels when deflated which can make maintenance a little more complicated.

Really? What rims are these on? I have mine on Reynolds AR58's and do not have that problem...but I do have a double wrap of DT Swiss tape on there.

A non-thermal long sleeve jersey for those in-between weather days. On clearance.

Zipp 303S. I've thought about throwing another layer of tape on there, but I want to try other tires first, anyway.

Have a couple of GP5000s 28c on the way from wiggle. 28 was a bit tight for gp4000 but I think the 5000 is a bit narrower. I hope.

The GP5000s are more true to size, should be good. :thumb:

Have these on the way, best looking crank rings ever, imo.

I'm interested in hearing your opinions on these tyres too. I currently have Veloflex Corsa's on my bike. But I'm always looking for another set good tyres.

The Michelin Power Road 28s have been great so far. I think they roll well, super comfortable, and easy to take off and put on.

Mine should arrive tomorrow! :bday:

I probably won't be able to ride them for a month or two. :notamused:

Inner tubes. Got a flat right as I was rolling in to my driveway from a ride. Could not have happened in a better place I guess.

To get my wife a Bridgestone mixte I wanted for her, I had to buy three other bikes I didn't want. One was a 90s era Huffy that I left at the pickup point and posted as free to (hopefully) someone that needs it on the local CL and FB Marketplace. The second is an actually decent 1973 Schwinn Suburban 5 speed that I will put tires on and overhaul. The third one is probably a late 60s early 70s Gazelle Tour De L'avenir in pitiful condition with a broken front derailleur mount and a seat stay broken away from the seat tube. I will put more money and time into the Gazelle than it will ever be worth just because I enjoy a challenge.

Michelin Power Road TLRs arrived. Mounted easily, seated easily and they stay bead-locked deflated on the Zipp 303S - win, win, win. Now all they have to do is ride nicely, roll easily, not get cut up and last for thousands of miles. :p

New helmet
Née Lazer helmet large. It was fun finding the helmet in the size and color. Forget about finding it locally. The local bike shops say we have this one helmet in large. Tough buying equipment now days.

No photos, but a front and rear axle from the Robert Axle Project.

Bought a tub of grease and tools:
1. Bottom bracket wrench
2. Torque wrench (about time!)
3. Cone spanners
4. Big adjustable wrench
5. Chain whip
6. Cassette lock ring removal tool

Five years cycling and now I can finally do all bike maintenance myself! Did my first hub repack job the other day and replaced the bearings. Sadly, there's some corrosion on the drive-side cups of both hubs of my Shimano RS100 (after only a year of use). They still turn nicely but feel a little rough They should be good for a while yet as long as I service them every 3-4 months I think.

Thanks! I'm replacing the OEM quick release axles.

Kask Mojito 3 helmet and Continental GP5K TDF skinwall 25mm tires.
The tires were marked down to $41 per and will fit an old 80s road frame perfectly. Got the helmet since a poc ventral air spin in my size is seemingly never coming back into stock. Figured I'll try something different as a second helmet and it's free to return if the fit is bad.
