Wheels are not tubeless ready. But it is brand new even though 7 years old. So I bought it. It is in the process of getting pedals installed.

Congrats! There is always a bike shop that has a hidden gem. Enjoy the bike

I got a new bib shorts and also a long sleeve jersey to wear this fall.

Both were from the Pearl Izumi outlet store near me.

Few things in this world make me happier than getting nice bike parts/accessories or clothing and putting them to use on fun rides. :thumb:

My 15 year old Specialized shoes finally died. They were Boa laced and one of the plastic routing pieces broke. So I bought Giro Cylinder shoes, fit my narrow feat well and so far really liking them. Also bought some new Giro Siv gloves as my previous set, simply wore out.

Bought a pair of Vittoria Rubino pro tires as well.

DOH typo: Liv = SIV

Are these meant for women? I always thought the whole Liv line was women-specific design.

Are you a woman? No judgement, I'm just curious how many smaller men wear women's bike stuff because it fits them better.

LOL just a Typo should have been Siv https://www.amazon.com/Giro-Mens-Roa.../dp/B08QGD4ZXP

I bet you are thinking of Giant's Liv line of products which are women focused.

As I am larger then average man, I doubt any of the Liv products would fit me ;)

I thought the BOA were guaranteed for life. They are replaceable. I had one break and they replaced it for free with a more durable one to boot. But hey, if they were 15 yrs old they probably needed replaced :D

Hold Fast tubeless valves in 65mm. Black valve with red lock nut and cover. A much nicer product than the stock version valves I had.

My mid-80s Schwinn road bike has a new (cheap) DNP SS freewheel, new PC-830 chain and will soon sport a new Shimano 110x68 BB.

The Boa system itself is fine. It was where the lace/cable went through the routing attached to the upper of the shoe where it broke. Very clearly a simple wear issue after years of use. I was told the only solution was to replace the shoe. Also seemed like a great excuse to get some new shoes :D

The Boa dial mech was actually replaced on these shoes, again I think it just wore out but Boa is very good with their warranty.

Caught my eye when looking for things to use some REI gift card balance on, figured it'll be perfect when riding to the neighborhood microbreweries.

Negative. Need a handlebar or bum bag to complete the look.

Finally order my power pedals after wanting them for a year. My bike finally gets here from Guam on Monday next week and I cannot wait to ride again once I get the pedal fit done and the bike reassembled.

A Trek Fatbike, an ENVE handlebar, and two IRC tubeless 28 tires...all last weekend. Such a productive weekend!

Indeed! I usually get excited about, like, a new water bottle or gloves.

Hehehe yes, me too. Oh, I did get two new Purist 26 Oz bottles and some blue summer gloves. Totally forgot about that in my excitement. My trip to get the bike was quite the adventure over unpaved mountain passes, due to mudslides on the main highway. It was a bit hair-raising at times, but I had the right vehicle for it. Still, it was a 3-hour trip there and a 4 hour trip back. The things we do for bike stuff....

Got my Favero Unos today. Now my bike needs to get here next week to actually use them.

This frame left my stable in 2005. I recently got the chance to buy it back, and it was delivered to me yesterday. It will get rebuilt with Dura Ace 7700 9-speed, same as it had when it was my race bike almost 20 years ago.
