Yeah the new Park Tool one is nice. Honestly if budget was totally unlimited I would probably have gotten the EVT and it would go in custom laser cut Kaizen Foam inserts in a lovely custom wrapped Snap-On rolling box with all sorts of custom stuff. However it is not like I have gone cheap, but I do value a bit more portability in my current kit and honestly I don't use it as often as owning a EVT True Arc would really entail.

I plan on having some good times. I love Abbey and love the feel of a good tool in my hands. I handed my Decade chain tool to someone who doesn't work on bikes or cars or anything but has worked with tools much of their life and they felt it and loved it even though they have no idea what it does.

my little digital pressure gauge died so I picked up a Topeak D2 SmartGauge a little pricey, but a friend has one and it is pretty nice, so I figured why not.

New tires....again - Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport in 28mm (tubeless). They actually measure 28mm at 80psi
I've put about 500 miles on them so far I'm very pleased. They offer a nice supple ride, very good grip, and so far, no punctures even though I've ridden through some questionable debris several times. I'll happily buy these again if they're still available when I need a new set....

So I bought a new bike and a new bike rack in the last year, but when I took my wife's car to get the initial free oil change today, I ended up buying a new truck to go with my new bike and my new bike rack. I really had no plans for a new truck, but it just seemed like the right thing to do. I was chatting with the sale manager whom I ride with here and there and when I was selling my Cannondale SuperSix a few years back, he happened to be the one that bought it. Anyway, he pointed out a 2022 Ridgeline that just came in last night, the only one on the lot, and I was like, lets go for a ride. He told me that there was a dude driving in from Tallahassee to look at it, and I was like, yea, but I am here now and how much more biz are you going to get from him? He lives 200 miles west of here, I live about 12. He said, let me get the keys.

Needless to say, no bargaining on the new truck price, but they gave me a lot more for my current truck than I thought they would. While I was waiting on them to finish the prep work, a random dude starting asking me questions about my 2018 Ridgeline and he ended up working a deal for that one. We had not even sighed the papers yet on my new truck and the old truck was sold. I was like hold on, I need it off my insurance first, so he put a deposit on it to hold it until tomorrow and then I can bring in the other key.

Easiest damn sales this guy ever made.

Oh and I picked up a Wahoo Speed Sensor for my Emonda.

Silca Secret Chain HOT MELT Wax. Can't wait to treat my chains with it.

I just recently cleaned one of my chains (with 1100 miles) to an agitated mineral spirit bath and got a scary amount of black magnetic material out of the wash. That's my chain literally grinding away! I use a very good lube - Rock N Roll Gold - and the chain looked very clean.... much, much cleaner than it would have looked with a wet, drip lube. No where close to 0.5% wear checked with the drop in too yet. But that quantity of residue convinced me to go to wax. Specifically wax with tungsten disulfide instead of PTFE.

Bought this a few days ago from a forum member. Picked up old Peugeot and Gitane road bikes too. The Gitane has a full 5800 group.

This Litespeed is nice, but I think it will ultimately be a bit too short. It's shorter than my main road bike that is a proper fit and slightly lower than my backup road bike too.
Maybe part it out?

For now it'll live on the trainer for zwift so I can figure out how it feels.

just saw this post and realized i haven't purchased anything bike related for myself since august. we did recently purchase my 4 year old granddaughter a schwinn bicycle for christmas and i assembled it last night.

I had a gift card from the bike club about to expire, & bought a U lock.

It is replacing one that I left at the gym which shut down from Covid. By the time I thought to retrieve the lock, the gym was totally gone, including the bike racks.

I did a weekly spin class there for years. Sadly, even if the gym came back, spending an hour breathing hard with a group in an enclosed room still doesn't seem like a good idea.
