Two weeks in and so far so good. S Works Romin Saddle with Mirror (3D printed). Dare I say seems to have been worth every stupid penny. Hoping I’m saddle hopping free for another 7 years.

It (only) took 4 months before being back in stock, and 1 month of shipping time, but I finally got my Schwalbe Pro Ones this afternoon. Needless to say that they were installed a few minutes later...
700x28mm tires are in high demand folks! Better hurry up before it's too late.

New Cane Creek 40 headset to replace the old S2 headset on my C'dale R1000 rebuild. I also replaced the BB5500 bottom bracket with a new BBR60, but I forgot to take a pic.

I just purchased a set of Avid Shorty Ultimate cantilever brake calipers. They are for my Lemond Poprad that had Shorty 4's when I got the bike, they were worn out. I have been using long reach Tektro 559 calipers and they work and stop surprisingly well. The studs for the calipers are permanently attached to the frameset, and I saw the Ultimate calipers on sale at Planet Cyclery for $56. I did some research and found that there is no difference between the front and back, the pads just have to be switched to opposite sides for the rear brake. I went ahead and ordered a pair. I have seen very good reviews for these brakes, easy set up and really good stopping. The rims on the bike have machined brake tracks and that alone upgrades the stopping. At that price, it is close to half of normal retail.

Unrelated to road cycling, but I treated myself (again this year!!) and bought a 2022 Trance X on a whim. Looks like I'll be even busier on two wheels this year.

popped into the LBS with my kids and they had a sirrus in XS that my 10 year old loved (outgrowing her 24” public cruiser) so we picked it up. seems like a very solid bike for her and she loves it. (whatever we got, it had to be blue, which eliminated many affordable choices!) i was originally thinking a small drop bar gravel bike but her hands and the hoods did not get along.
funny pic because it’s leaning on my aethos 😂😂

That is a sweet looking bike. I am seriously thinking of getting a Ti gravel bike to replace my mountain bike which I don't ride that often, but there are more areas I would ride the gravel bike.
Oh and I recently picked up some new rotors as they had them in stock and the last time I looked they were stupid expensive and these were more in line with normal pricing.
