I want these really bad. At $29.99, its not cheap, but I would have paid it. I went to check out and saw the shipping was $22!!! looks like they are only available from Australia? Anyone know of a clear silicone toe cover like this, but wont require paying that kind of shipping price?

I put off buying this for years, and fought it with all my will. However, thanks to the "Polar and Artic Vortex", among other things like watching kids, work, martial arts training in 3 different disciplines, old age, and wife working, I finally had to break down and buy a device that says "I don't live in FL where I can ride outside all year round". God help us all as a small part of the garage will become "Pain Grand Central"!

I looked at the Lemond Revolution, it was super smooth albeit pricey. Out of my own curiosity, what made you choose that over a more traditional unit?

Put a set of speedplays and fixed my chain dropping issue. Turns out the chain was too long and had to have links removed. I knew it was not my own stupidity, would have thought that after going to 4 mechanics somebody would have seen that the chain was too long pretty easily..

The speedplays are awesome. The extra float definitely helps with my knee pain. No hype, it is probably one of the best investments and "cheap" too at 112 bucks.

I had a "traditional unit" years ago and would never go back to it. The buying sand ruining of tires, the lack of consistent resistance even with a resistance unit (cable operated is what I had then), the PITA to swap wheels AND have a dedicated trainer wheel. I looked for one used given I think it is extremely expensive for what it is, and this came along barely touched semi locally on craigslist for a considerably price. Had to add the cost of a Campagnolo adaptor, but it is smooth as butter and so far very happy for what it is: an indoor trainer.

If you look at the top of the line trainers, they are not that far off in cost to this one new, but they simply do not compare. Truth be told, I would have bought the Wahoo Kicker (same, but with power) if it was 50% cheaper. You can add a power module to this one for $200, which still makes it 20-40% cheaper than the Wahoo Kicker and the trainer itself is almost exactly the same!!

I broke down and go these "Two wheel cool silicone toe cops". They are from Australia and shipping is $22, but they said they can fit in 2 sets in one box, so I got a buddy of mine to buy a set also which helps the sting of the shipping cost a little bit. Its still pretty cold weather here in Oregon, so I am using full shoe covers right now, but will be excited to use these once we get up into the 50's.

-Can wash in dishwasher

-wont soak up any water on a ride

-easy to clean

-I like that they are see through (They have solid colors also), I have always hated how the traditional covers hide your shoes. Especially if you have cool funky shoes that you like to see.

-Super durable

I've had mine for a few weeks. They don't keep you warm, but they keep the wind out, and they allow to you to see how much grit you ride through as it all sticks to the silicone. IF you want to keep them non dirty looking, you will have to wash them regularly, although that's dead simple (no dishwasher here). My issue with them is that the fit is tight enough that it's actually squeezing my toebox and possibly causing some forefoot pain. I need to do some more testing to see if it's the position, insoles, or these toecovers.

If you have a rearward installation of cleats, these can get bound up in them, so be careful. I don't think I could use these with speedplays unless they were slammed forward.

I may actually have to get some shoe covers this season as I just found out my northwaves are freaking freezing! Makes me excited for the summer however!

Did you get a small or large? I got a large and my shoe is a 44.5 so I would imagine i should be ok. I'm not expecting them to heat up my toes, but more so blocl wind. I didn't find my traditional toe covers to "warm" them. I would wear nice wool socks to keep them warm in combination with these. Thats what I'm hoping for anyway. Hoping they will be worth the money.

I got a small as I wear 39.5. The weather has been unseasonably warm here the past week or so, but I find these are good until the mid 50's. Below that and I am getting something more substantial out.

If you wear a 39, thats up closer to the max size for the small. Since I got a large and I wear a 44.5, I would imagine/hope that it will not be as snug as yours, which are possibly causing the snug fit?

We will see. I'll report back when i get them.

Yeah you are more in the middle of the range, so you shouldn't have problems with the covers being too snug.

after much debate i decided to get new shoe covers. mine are more like aero covers and don't cut it below 50F. these are Diluvio 16s.

yea.. at least you're in warm weather. it looks even more goofy with a hat under it. feels like it is even higher off my head. can't wait for spring. i got the shield version cheap and i still need to rock it on a short group ride full power ranger style

I have the same air attack, I dig it for the cooler months but will bringing my my atmos out of hiding when the temps raise again.
