Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My S2 rides so great that the last concern I have is the stupid cable routing.

Undoubtedly, the guy at the shop who built your bike is the one being paid to worry about these kinds of things.

No problem!
I just knew there were quite a few BFers who really hate the "over the top" cable routing and this seems like a decent fix.

I use to give you more credit for your dumb posts. Just get over the fact your cable routing looks horrible and fix it yourself.

You guys are really bugging out about this S2/3 cable issue. The entire world economy is melting down, and that is your big concern.

Wouldn't drilling holes in the cap lead to rain water and sweat getting into your headset?

That could be resolved with a dab of clear silicone.

What would be cool is a spacer with a cable guide pass through on each side of it to run it right up against the fork steerer.

Some of you guys should drill holes in your head, but F the silicone, the water might clear out your convoluted bike weenie brains. I think that's called trepanation.

Yeah, this is because you are a mental patient. It is a blatant design flaw that requires a Macgyver style fix. Just what you want on a $5k bike.

Reviving this critical topic, I'll be ordering those Nokon cables. You can weave those bad boys into a pretzel and they will still shift, so I'm confident they will allow under the bar routing on my S2. The LBS had suggested them. That's what K. Armstrong has on her new S2 by the way.

What, you think a top cap is waterproof under normal circumstances? HAH! Silliness. Besides, all that water will go into the steer tube, not the headset, which is on the outside of the steer tube.

I think it's great that you're confident enough to ride a chick bike.

The Velo News article actually does comment on that, saying that the women racers that Cervelo sponsors have no touble finding a men's bike that fits them.

No Genius, I suggested them to you. Funny how you didn't have issue with your current routing but now are gonna take my advice. Smart move old man.
