Bought this on Ebay.. Did I get a good deal?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bought this on Ebay.. Did I get a good deal?

This auction had a "buy it now" price of 500 with $30 shipping. It had been listed for an hour or so with 7 page views when I pulled the trigger. Seemed too good to pass up. It's brand new with stock components. Did the market for bikes tank this far or did he set the price too low or what am I missing? It seems like I got a steal, but I would like input from you guys. Thanks.

Maybe you got a deal, maybe you got scammed. Got a link to the auction?

Do you have any idea what size it is or what size you need? Maybe someone could tell from the pic if they are familiar with that model

I mean.. I just wanted to know if I'm missing something.. like a huge drop in market prices for bikes.. or something wrong with this particular model.. I figured this would be the best place to ask.

I have just never seen a 54 considered large. I hate when sellers put a bunch of obvious lies in a sale ad just to sell a bike. Heck...Giant calls there 55cm a medium.

If you closely to the pictures on the auction, the downtube sticker has an "L", so I'm assuming it a large. Which would be around a 58cm. I have a Giant OCR2 and it's a very good bike.

Not quite as good as that $100 black and yellow TT bike somebody was selling yesterday on Ebay but still pretty darn good. At least this one comes with pedals and you don't have to use glue to keep the tires on.

Thanks for your input guys.. A large is 58 cm?? I called around at the Giant dealers in my area, and gave them my measurements. They all said I needed a large ocr. (5'10" with 31.5 inseam-longer torso) Oh well. if it doesn't fit, I'll just sell it.. thanks again guys.

The Giant factory seems to make frames for a large portion of the other so called "bike manufactures".
How can you go wrong with that price?

Great deal. A little jealous, since I paid $450 more than you did!

It's a great bike (at least so far). My only concern is that I'm close to 5'9", and my shop put me on a medium (about 52cm). Being that it's a compact frame, that was a pretty good decision. I do also have a 54cm frame fits me very well, though it has traditional geometry. You might be able to make it work.

I hope it all works out (if it hasn't already)!

Good deal! I sold my OCR2 last year for quite a bit more than that. It was also a large, I believe Giant considered the measurement to be 55cm.
