Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Podium girls

It's Monday morning and maybe I should be posting this on the 50+ thread, but my question is what's the big rip with these cheek-kissing podium girls?

Well if you don't see the attraction, then perhaps you do need be on the 50+ forum.

My grampa used viagra in his 90's. He would have totally understood the fascination with podium girls.

If this is the attitude I have to look forward to in six years I should just pull the trigger now. Granted the Barbi dolls aren't really my type but they're still purdy.

I'm thinking about hiring some podium girls to congratulate me upon my daily completion of my pre-work 20 mile loop. Of course, Mrs. NYJayhawk wouldn't allocate the funding, dammit.

I thought they were nice. Although, someone could have picked out better dresses. Not exactly flattering.

I did laugh out loud when they were giving the winners the double kiss on the cheek for the photographers. They had to hold it for 5 seconds or so. Can you imagine how bad the riders might smell after those races?

I'll bet that they burnt those blue dresses after wearing them everyday for more than a week.
The blond seemed to be the stage director, positioning everyone and coordinating everything.

So if this was a woman's tour, would there be two Chippendale guys on the podium with the winners?
