Please suggest interesting threadless stems

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Please suggest interesting threadless stems

Most standard threadless stems are basically butt ugly collections of pipe and bolts. I have a collection of classic, semiclassic, and semi modern bikes. As I convert to threadless, I would like some interesting options. Photos much appreciate.

Thanks,

The Thomson is pretty classy. I like the faceplate quite a bit.

The Extralight is very clean and minimal (obviously):

I've had the hardest time deciding on a stem for my new build, but I went with an Oval R900. The bolts go in the other way, so there's that lol

Cinelli Groove. Also getting harder to find, and only available in 26.0.

3T More Stem (retro)

Too heavy for my tastes, but I'm digging the style a lot.

Cinelli Alter - with super rare pin-up appliques.
26.0mm clamp and 1" steerer only though.

AX Lightness - Zeus Stem

(oh, btw - if it isn't vapourware, it will cost more than most of your bikes combined)

not only do they completely miss the basic idea behind threadless (re. removable face plate), they're somewhat utilitarian looking.

Looks like some of the photos Mario used to tape to his bikes.

lots of framebuilders out there will make stems. Can be expensive. Example here
Many framebuilders will only sell stems with frames.

Very nice!

Flickr is blocked at my work and I've seen the "ball peen hammered" stem. Very lovely.

I liked my Thomson a lot until the faceplate cracked (yes, it was tightened to spec). It's a very nice looking stem.

I'm happy with my 3T ARX pro.

The Nitto CT-80 is a fillet brazed steel track stem, it's doesn't have a removable face plate for added stiffness.
