Shhh! It's quiet time for you.

(After that, take it to P&R.)

My two home laptops just in the past 2 weeks acquired several new Trojans hiding as regular system files in my system32 folder. Something new is going on - there's a new push ... everybody better watch out!

Hmmmm... interesting. My first fraudulent charge was a $1 charge for a music download. :)

that sounds like a stretch to me (i used to work at an online CC processor) - you can easily generate a valid CC # that passes the Luhn vaidation check, but what about the CSV code (three-digit code on teh back of some cards), or the fact that (normally) a name/address has to match the card number? a CC number by itself doesn't really get you much.

i think it's more likely your card, and the personal data that goes with it, was stolen - the part about the $1 txn being a test is true though, we used to see that a lot. they go through a huge list of CC's they have, and weed out the ones that aren't valid anymore.

then they go to town with the ones that worked.

You know you can't post stuff about Obama on a cyclist web sight. Dude whats wrong with you.
Here is another one to put in your hat though. Maybe it won't get deleted before you read it.

"We can disagree with the Obama administration without being disagreeable. Our tone should be respectful. We now not only have a friend but we have an advocate in the White House"

Dude, if you want to spread drivel, feel free to do so in the P&R section of this very website.

Credit card issues are related to road cycling because many of us buy most of our stuff online. Political ideals, however, are not.

Does the mandatory lobotomy that's part of the initiation to the conservative movement hurt?

Folks... can we please not bring politics into this forum... I don't want to lose respect for anyone based on dumb zingers that they think are worth while.

I have my political views as do all of you I'm sure. I'm also pretty sure that many people would disagree with things that I would say just the same way that I disagree with many things said in this post.

The point I'm trying to make is that this country is very politically hostile right now and some of us come here to get away from the news, not read about our money disappearing. (Yes I realize I started it... with no intention of having it turn into a Dems vs. Repubs thread.) (I should've known better)

I agree that this should be taken to another thread but I don't think very many people have stated that without...
A. Trashing someone for having a different (and perhaps well founded) belief than you. Or...
B. Pushing a political agenda.

This is America, I know about freedom of speech, I know I could simply leave, and I know that no one REALLY cares what I think... BUT we at least need to respect each other and respect that there is a time and a place.

Except about bike *****. We can flame all we want about that.

Where's Pcad... Cervelos are stupid. :innocent:
