Nice use of Twitter?
Hi there
Saw the previous threads regarding Twitter and the comments saying people didn't really understand the point of using it.
I'm using twitter as a training tool. I pretty much only post details of my training and how I'm doing towards my goals (I don't really post personal stuff - and don't post inane babble like "Just waking up"). There are a few of us in my cycling club that are doing the same.
It's become quite a motivational tool. If you look at my twitter page - I've publicly stated what I'm going after and I know that people are following and will see how I'm doing - so it's motivating me to get out there and do it. I guess it's a little sad that I have to use external motivation - but whatever works is cool with me.
Check me out on https://twitter.com/adrianmck
The cool thing about it is that you don't have to write screeds of stuff - short messages only (140 character limit) and I aim for 1 a day.
Be great if a few people started using it for the same purpose and following each other. Anything that gets people exercising more can't be bad.
Cheers
Adrian.

I use twitter to moap about poor race results and whine about how much intervals hurt.
So yeah, similar things.
