Mitts with No padding...

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mitts with No padding...

Anyone know some good mitts with NO padding around or under $35? Looking for summer gloves.

Got a pair of "PBK Pro Team Mitts" in the mail yesterday.

Cheap ($4.20) & no padding to speak of. Good ? Time will tell, but at $4.20 and free shipping, what's to lose ? Not sure how to post the link, but they can be found at www.probikekit.com.

These are full fingered and not cycling specific but I know they have no padding https://garage.mechanix.com/detail.aspx?ID=10

Plus, you can use them when working on your bike too. And they are white.

Not sure if they are the "Zero" model, but I have these Giro gloves and really like them so far. The palm leather is thin and wonderfully supple, but I do get the feeling they aren't going to last for 6 or 9 months like other gloves I've had.

Got a pair of these I think for like 3.50 not to long ago when they were 07 on sale. Awesome stitching and quality for the $. They are definitely worth it if you want some gloves but not heavy padding. Not sure I'd buy anything else now since most gloves run 10-15 + or 20-30 for the other brands and considering the stitching on those is sometimes suspect the PBK ones are great.

specialized enduro.

full finger, no padding, just thick enough skin so you won't be missing your palms when you go down.

I got the full-finger version of those Giro gloves (if not exactly the same, they're close enough) a couple weeks ago and like them on the short rides I've had so far. I'll go out longer today and see how they fare.

Took my full-finger Giro Zeros for 40+ miles today. Really not bad at all, even on the thin & hard Fizik tape I've got.

Certainly better for me than any Specialized BG glove I've tried or anything with fancy-shaped gel padding (the BG gloves killed my hands & wrists within 20 minutes).

Thanks for that. I have never seen these in a shop, so assumed they didn't exist. I bought the BG gloves and hated the gel, but loved the fit.

Do you have a preference between the two as far as longevity? I'm going to order a pair online.
