Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It is a brand new door, less than a week old.

That reminds me, I have a new (to me) place and I haven't yet taken pics in front of the new (to me) garage door. Must take care of that!

The door would look better without the piece of trash in front!!

Next time, over expose the picture. Or, with the white door, use the "snow scene" setting on the camera.

Cameras try to make the average picture grey. That's why the white door is dark.

Not bad, but the cranks are all wrong, and the valves are visible and even seem to have the plastic caps.

Thanks for the compliment on the bike, and thanks for the photo tips. That shot was over exposed by 2 stops. My camera doesn't have that fancy snow setting, so I used spot metering, center weighted, and matrix metering, with exposure compensation. It was a very overcast dark day and I didn't feel like dragging my studio lights outdoors to take a picture of a piece of trash.

Sorry, didn't know there was a proper setting for the crankset. As for the valve caps, I use them as they keep road grime out of the valve assembly, and protect it from flying rocks etc. The tube companies really do put them on the tube for a reason.

Very nice make, don't let others say otherwise.
It's you that gets to use it, right?
I couldn't make out the model, though.

Let me guess.

Your bike is leaning against the garage door because your electric lift stopped working, your door doesn't have an outside handle and now you can't open the door from the outside. Don't ask how I came to know this.

The subject of installing the latch and handle has come up, and i decided to go with the clean look. This time I was lucky, the car was parked outside with a remote.

Sears 3000?
07 Versailles; full carbon. The door came from menards, not sure of the brand.

I like it. Very nice bike. Lemond doesn't scream bling, but sometimes that's the appeal. I use to have a 2005 Buenos Aires that I liked a lot even though it was a plain Jane ride.
