Chainring compatibility question

I was wondering if there are any compatible chainrings for the Fulcrum compact RS besides Fulcrum and Campy. I'm planning on getting a 50/34 since 50/36 is unavailable globally and swap out the 34 with a 36t and down the road maybe a 52t for the outer ring, but unsure on that though. I like campy but it's only silver and Fulcrum is too dang expensive. Just thiniking i could save money. Is there anything else out there that might match up better if I went with something other than the Fulcrum ring and is compatible? i've looked at FSA and Stronglight but need some opinions. Just wanting some other options if need be. thanks guys.

here's the stronglight link that i found. not sure if XXcycle (french site) is legit or not or what they're shipping is. http://www.xxcycle.com/php/boutique/...9&FROM=froogle

Your plan makes no sense to me. Replacement chainrings are not cheap.

If you need the low gearing that a compact offers, get the 50/34. It makes the most sense and that is why the 50/36 is not offered. If you don't need the additional low gearing, get a 53/39.

As an example, a 50/36 with an 11-23 is basically the same as a 53/39 with a 12-25.
