Shiny Bikes UK

So, a buddy and I ordered two 2009 Centaur gruppos from this UK retailer. Fantastic price, decent shipping costs for a combined order. Now, for the bad part. They used UPS to negotiate customs. The package bounced back and forth between the UPS depot and the customs agent for nearly a week. Then, UPS charged me $100 for import duties. Savings wiped out. I know that this is beyond the control of the retailer and it's a hit or miss charge, but it's disappointing when compared to other UK internet sites. Heck, I bought a complete bike a few years ago and it went through customs with no problem. Rant over, I'm going to build up my new Kona Kapu.

yep... that all on UPS mate!!! No can do there. I order my chorus group from ShinyBikes.com as well but asked them to use UK Royal Mail instead of UPS to avoid these ridiculous brokerage fees and they were nice enough to do as I asked. Took a little longer but it was worth it.

I got my Centaur shifters from Shiny and used Royal Air Mail. They came in a pouch without any hassels from Customs. Worked for me.

Sorry to hear that.

I used Shiny Bikes for my Rival group and no issues here.
