The Genius 5 series shoes have had a lot of different buckle arrangements over the years. Every year or two, there is some sort of change, but those are definitely in the series. I've got two pair with two velcro straps and one pair with carbon sole and the dial type fastener that tightens a cord, for the front two straps.

Are they worth $50? My Shimano R215 shoes are coming apart at the sole. I felt some Sidi shoes at my LBS and they were soft and supple. They look like a composite (not carbon) sole. they look like a 4 hole pattern which would be great for my speedplay cleats. but are the 4-hole pattern a woman's shoe?

Those look like Genius 3s or earlier versions.
The velcro straps are "backwards" as they stick towards the insides of the foot.
Genius 4 and 5 and on have the velcro straps going towards the more traditional outwards position.
The sole looks to be the millenium sole.
These shoes were perhaps from 2002 - 2004ish?

I've only been out once...everything so far has been on the CT. I'm hoping that I get out at least once this week, and that the weekend is decent.
PM me, and we'll get together and ride. Are you at Whiteland HS?
