I smell fish

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hamilton out of Alentejo
By Charles Pelkey
Posted Mar. 31, 2009
The U.S.-based Rock Racing team has released a revised roster for the upcoming Volta ao Alentejo, one that does not include U.S. road champion Tyler Hamilton.

Hamilton, who recently missed Spain's Vuelta a Castilla y León due to bronchitis, was originally listed as team leader for the Rock squad slated to compete at the Volta ao Alentejo, which begins Wednesday in Portugal.

Hamilton was listed as team leader in a roster submitted on March 10. He has since been replaced by Spaniard David Martin

You'll have to chase me down while I make my breakaway off the back first.

So here I sit in my wet, dank chamois trying to keep the PC police happy. I have deleted all of the comments made towards the finer gender and fish. Please ...Please no more posts that go in that direction or I am pretty sure someone will lock this thread down.

It is actually quite arguable that if you can't get a date, all things considered, you can't smell fish.

there were some rumors going around that 4-6 riders tested positive at the TOC, hamilton being one of them.

it would be sad if it were true, but honestly i could give a $hit.

First time I'm hearing about these rumors. Sources, please? If there were positive test results, why haven't they been reported publically? I thought the testing system was transparent.

i don't have official sources, but what i heard was they want to be really careful (especially as the french would run straight to l'equipe) before the b sample is tested and things are settled. but yeah, should be out now/soon if true...
