optimal tt tires, disc wheel
This has probably been asked and reviewed a thousand and one times already, I only signed up today so hope you don't mind me asking:
What are the best tires for a TT bike? Are tubs better? Are you more likely to get a puncture with clinchers? What pressure would you go for at the front and at the back?
Also, how many seconds is a disc wheel worth compared to a 4-spoke Xentis/Hed 3-spoke? How heavy do you have to be to handle a 4-spoke at the front and a disc?

the tire question will all be preference. I prefer tubulars, but clinchers are just as fast.
as far as weight for a 4 spoke and disc, I have seen 105# women on similar setups with out a problem. you just have to get used to ridding those wheels. on the flip end, when it gets windy at our outdoor velodrome, even the big 200+ lb guys get pushed over.

The only "aero" tire out there that I know of is the Zipp Tangente, made by Vittoria with Zipp's special aerodynamic herbs and spices. Available in clincher or tubular.
Clincher wheels are usually quite a bit heavier, so I'd say for race-day TT applications I'd go tubular.
