Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Leg length determines that.

I'm 6'1" and ride a 55 RS2.

It has something like a 57cm virtual TT.

then again....you might be built like a freak with long legs, short torso and TRex arms.

Compared to my Spine bike Zurich, my RS2 feels more like a crit bike.

Race it. I've ridden my fastest 60 and 100 mile rides on it.

Go to this site and you'll be able to get a good estimate as to what the best frame for you might be.

iirc, the RS2's geometry/sizing is pretty similar to Giant TCR's, etc. Maybe you can find somebody with one of those you can sit on?

If it fits you good, check out the specs on Giants' site (im too lazy to look it up), and check out the geometry for the RS2 and you may have you answer. I had a TCR too and am a Medium in both brands (although I did try a S initially, but on the crash replacement I went back to my senses).

Pedal Force fit

PF's web site has a fit section. You need to do some measuring at home w/ friend or whatever, then they will respond with ideal frame size.

If all 3 of these body parts are long, then they are average for your height.

I'm 6'2" with very long (37.5") legs and ride a 61cm Pedal Force RS.

I found the frames ride alittle bit bigger than other frames. My Felt is a 54, yet I'm a 51? in my RS2.

You really have to measure the tubing on em because the top tube is longer than most other bikes.

So far I have no complaints about the bike and many people use it in crits.

I'm 5'10" on a PF RS2 55 (57 TT). I'm short legs/long torso/really long arms, and I might fit better on the next size down.

While we had suspected for years, 7800 finally came out of the closet in May 2008 with the release of the FC-7800C

I absolutely love my RS2. I actually had two of them until some lady ran a stop sign and hit me which totalled my newest one. They are really nice frames and of course they are "raceable". I raced mine several times last year.

They don't make a 54cm size. The 52cm frame size has an effective TT length of 55cm. I normally can ride a 54cm, 55cm or 56cm depending on the frame and effective TT length.
