Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A/C 420 or Solitude

These are the wheels I have decided on. I weight 145lbs and I would mount my Open Corsa's and latex tubes on these wheels and use them on race day. And no I am not paying any where near full retail for these, so I don't really want any Williams or Soul recommendations. I can employee purchase Easton wheels for 40% below wholesale but I don't want to wait 3 weeks for them, I plan on taking these out next weekend. Even Bontrager would be an option but I don't figure anyone here will suggest that.

I ride as set of AC 420 wheels non aero version and I don't think they flex and I've been doing a lot of climbing lately I'm 163 lbs. also. They have stayed true and I have had no issues with spokes or bearings and for the weight I'd buy another set if I had to. I like them also because they use a standard spoke nothing special. Not that many people have them so I'd expect voting on them to be one sided but I'll vote yes on them.

I'm nearly 180 and I've been riding the AC420's for the last 8 months without any incident. I ride them hard and they have close to 5k miles on them and haven't had to true them or anything.... however, the bearings on both hubs are getting a little stiffer.

I have no experience with those Reynolds but they look similar.
