Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looks like the first OEM Di2 bike--the Pinarello Prince Di2

Built from scratch for Di2, with internal wiring etc....

I won't be riding Di2 any time soon and the cost is obviously still ridiculous, but this would seem to hint at what the future holds in terms of bike design. That wiring harness thingy hanging off the bar looks a little cumbersome but I can't get a good look at it.

There's been a few others, the Giant TCR Limited ($14K) among them.

Wow, a bargain compared to the prince ($15,900).

Yeah, I'm not such a fan of the MO.st stuff, or the "charisma" wheels--should've stuck with Deda for the cockpit and Bora Ultra Twos for the wheels.

But WTH am I talking about--this thing is sooooo too rich for my blood that it'll never be an issue for me to worry about.

Definitely a much better component spec, but a slightly more ghetto Di2 conversion, i.e. frame still has cable stops etc.

Looks like another rebadged PedalForce frame.

Yea, it's clearly not on the same level.

$5200 is what, $400 higher than the group is selling for by itself though? Even if you didn't want the frame, you could part the bike out and put it towards your Prince build and come out ahead.

I've never understood why anyone would buy a bike that would be 40% cheaper when self-assembled.

So do you clip coupons to buy whole chickens on sale and cut and skin them yourself?
