The BikesDirect Thread: Pics and Opinions of your BD bike!!!!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The BikesDirect Thread: Pics and Opinions of your BD bike!!!!

Just thought I'd start a thread for bikesdirect bikes specifically. I'm about to purchase one soon as soon as the Ti bike I'm looking at goes back in stock. I'd like to keep this thread free of debate, and just strictly show and tell. So pics of your BD bike, how you like your BD bike, and your experience with BD.

- TO THE REAL POSTERS IN THIS THREAD, IGNORE THE ANTI-BIKESDIRECT POSTERS AND TROLLS. That's all you can do really unfortunately.

Maybe ask the mods to change the title to "Show us your online bike purchase, and your opinion"

Cannondale, Specialized and Cervelo don't have a history of BF shilling. BD does.

Let me explain it to you then, on the off chance that you really don't know - which, after all the back and forth between you and others about the other BD threads you've started in the last few days - I find almost inconceivable.

This forum has a long history of people coming here for the sole purpose of shilling for BikesDirect. Mike has asked people to come here and start threads about his various bikes. This isn't a suspicion. It is fact.

So, in the past few days you come on here and fall into the same pattern that may of us who have been here for awhile have seen AD NASEUM...and guess what? You get called a shill.

My suspicion is that this post is really just BS - you know the deal. Tell Mike I said "hello".

Well dude, yes it does. People like you that come in here and detract from what the op is trying to do prevents others from seeing what is available with opinions about it. Left alone, there just might be some usefull info in this thread.

So let me get this straight, "tell us your opinion", but if you say anything bad you are being political and should be reported to the mods. Are those the rules?

If so, you could change the thread title to "BD Shills Only - All Others Are Not Welcome".

Whatever, I don't know Mike, and never spoke to Mike. I am from the Bay Area. I ride around on my Tarmac E5 S-works road bike. I don't own a BD bike. My threads have been BD related as of late only because I have considered buying one as of late. That's it, now stay with the topic. It's nice to have one thread where people who have bought BD bikes can go to without being called a shill. That was the purpose of this thread. So I ask moderators to ban or delete comments from people who are acting inappropriately in this thread, and who aren't staying on topic.

OK, at first I gave you the benefit of the doubt. I figured maybe you were just a guy looking to get a bike with a decent gruppo for cheap.

Well, this thread reeks of shill, given your past history, motobecane, bottechia, etc.

Fortunately you don't get to make the rules. People are free to post what they want. On the off chance you're for real, again I find this doubtful - sorry, but others in the past have ruined any chance this topic will ever treated the way you, or Mike, want it to be.

By the way, it was opening day here in our nation's capital. To bad this guy isn't still around...

All the bd thread haters that post in bd threads just keep the thread coming to the top of the forum, giving bd exactly what they want... more exposure. Good or bad, doesn't really matter.

I enjoy these threads for their entertainment value.

And here's my honest opinion. I personally don't have a problem with BD bikes. And honestly, I wouldn't mind people's opinion that have one. But...everything about this pattern you've done reeks of shilling.

I'd love for there to be a BD thread, with opinions from people that actually own some of the models. It would be nice if everyone would overlook the fact that they seem to have shills, which must be the problem given the pedalforce and bmc positive threads, and just review the damn bikes.

Like it or not people are going to buy them, and with the current economic times, probably more so now than previously.
