Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anyone ever heard anything about these? In particular the RC-4 carbon roadie.

I've heard that this a couple of guys from EPX, since they have essentially cut off their US dealer channel. Anyone ever seen one of these in person?

It's not an aero bar. It's a time trial bar. Might look nice on your hybrid.

Might look nice jammed up you *ss, too. But then, what do I know - I'm not part of the cycling elite like yourself.

Very nice bikes. I wonder how much they run.

I've been quoted $1100 USD for the RC-4 frame and fork with integrated headset. I don't know for a complete bike. I want to get my wife an inexpensive carbon ride now that she's into it. I was thinking more along the lines of the EPX/Scattante for around $800. I've already got all the parts in Ultegra. 300 clams is quite a bit.

$300 is a good bit (I could build a fixie for that!), but for a really nice frame and fork, $1,100 still isn't totally outrageous.

I agree. My problem is that the company is a start up. There is no mention on their webpage of a warranty, and for another hundred you can get the Trek 5200 frame or a Look KG 451. But, right now there aren't many (if any) people riding them. From what I've been told they haven't even distributed the sample frames to the sales reps yet. I've heard 2 weeks for an in hands date.

Yeah, that *is* a bit worrisome. I hope someone does a review of these sometime soon.

Er... I'm pretty sure he meant no insult - ruirui just mentioned in another thread that he's LOOKING for a new set of aero or TT bars for his hybrid!

Read the recent posts in the "Post your road bike thread". I think you'll find he did mean offense...

Yeah...I couldn't resist.

Anyone think it might do any good to write a letter to any of the major cycling mags requesting a review?

ruirui - I'm sure it's one of these:

https://www.aeruscomp.com/bars.htm

This is the componentry division of the company
