Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Eyeware

I went with a pair of Performance glasses last time--3 sets of lenses. They worked fine but they were a little more flimsy than i would like.

What do ye wear?

It's even on the front page, Timmy. https://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycling/216443-what-sunglasses-do-you-wear.html

I just got the Tifosi Pave (interchangable with 3 lenses) which fit my planetary size of a head quite nice.

Well, if you're saying that sunglasses for contact lens wearers have different functional requirements than those who don't wear lenses, then I'm afraid I can't be much help since I wear contact lenses.

But to be officious... I wear Oakley Radars with non-vented lenses.

I posted these in the other thread, but I didn't read the original post. I don't wear contacts.

If you are like me and can't see the road in front of you without corrective lenses, this is the best deal going.....if contacts are a problem.

https://www.zennioptical.com/cart/home.php?cat=27

Umm, you gotta ignore the couple of industrial application models unless you're into that sort of look.......not that there's anything wrong with that.

timmy, what model of the Performance glasses did you have? I've got a set now (with the 3 lenses) and the Rx insert that I agree are a bit flimsy, but have been getting the job done. Had to exchange the glasses part because one of the rubber-ish ear pieces fell off, and this new set seems to be a bit warped or something because they don't seem to want to sit on my face straight (couldn't be that my face is lopsided...)

I had the Cat-1 (came with a clear transition lens and persimmon). I liked these because they were cheap ($25 or so) but they cracked at the temple after about 3 months. I used these for the clear lens at night or early morning rides but need a replacement.

Thinking about getting a clear lens for my Radars but not sure I want to keep switching out lenses...

Timmy, do you need Rx-able sunglasses? You never mentioned anything about them in the OP.

Rudy Project Apache in all-black with polarized dark RX lenses... Not interchangeable. And they can get steamy when you're sweaty. Not cheap, though.

Also, polycarb Transitions lenses would minimize the need for multiple lenses, though it's a compromise on the tint level.

Just got a pair from PBK and wore em out this weekend. Nice 10+ mph windy days and they were great, no fogging, and no contact drying.
They do feel a little flimsy when changing lenses, but are solid on the face. Hella nice for $16.

It's funny how people seemed to think that's what you need because you said you don't wear contacts.

Oakley Radar Range on ebay (after one fraud purchase in which Paypal refunded) I finally got a new pair for $62 plus $5.00 shipping. I bought a second pair of lenses the Ice iridium lenses 2 weeks ago for really bright days. I like the large face coverage of these because last July 4th I had some road grime thrown into my left eye, under my maui jims; that left a bad eyelid scar that I had to fight infection with.

My team is sponsored by Tifosi, I just got the dolomite and ventoux - https://www.tifosioptics.com/interchangeable/index.html Can't beat the price and the lenses are very good. Before that I wore a cheap pair I got from Target. I don't wear expensive sunglasses in case they fall off and break. I had several pair of oakleys, they are very good lenses but over priced IMHO
