Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Use the search function...this has been a topic for the better part of a year...

That being said...it's overpriced and over-rated.

I got a pretty good deal on an '08. I'm very happy with it, however, I doubt I would buy the '09 at retail.

Project One it so you can get the bike with SRAM Rival for a lot less than retail.
Fun Fact: A red carbon level frame (6 series) is cheaper than a black carbon level frame (5 series) if you're using project one.

Btw, it's an amazing bike.

What is considered a reasonable price for an '08 5.2? A local bike shop has both the performance and pro 5.2 for around $2,700 to $2,800 range.

Is this a question? If so, what is the question you are attempting to ask?
