offset rim spoke length
Does anyone know if an offset rear rim (like the Velocity Aerohead OC) makes it necessary to use a different spoke length than a regular rim?
The spoke calculators I'm using don't account for rim offset, and Velocity doesn't mention it, but I just want to be sure it won't mess with the length given to me. TIA |
I'm pretty sure the spoke length is affected when using an offset rim. Matt Dennis from Velocity can help w/ whatever you might need. email: MD@velocityusa.com

Yes, but not by much.

It turns out that with the offset (which I found) added in, the spoke lengths were only a few tenths of a millimeter off of what I originally calculated. |
